What to Expect

WHAT TO EXPECT

Going to a Chiropractor is a new experience for many of us. What motivates many individuals is being fed up with living in pain and taking a stand to do something about it.  Maybe you’ve had a friend or loved one encouraging you to go or you did your own research online. In either case, your first visit will really be about getting to know the chiropractor and discussing your history, current condition and goals.

Intake Forms

INTAKE FORMS

Based on your preference, you may either print off the New Patient Paperwork Case History and fill it out at home or arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment and complete it in the office.  Once you arrive for your visit, we will have just a few additional forms to go over with you for completion before your consultation with the chiropractor.

CONSULTATION & EXAMINATION

Upon meeting with the doctor, you’ll discuss your concerns and expectations as well as have the chance to ask any questions you may have. The doctor will take a detailed history to fully understand what brings you into the office.  Then the doctor will perform a thorough physical examination including orthopedic and neurological testing and a spinal exam.

Digital Spinal X-rays

DIGITAL SPINAL X-RAYS

Based on what the doctor finds during your exam, there will most likely be a few digital x-rays taken to see what your current spinal state is. This will allow the doctor to see how to best take care of you.

PATIENT ORIENTATION & FIRST ADJUSTMENT

Once the above has been completed, the doctor will analyze the results of the consultation, exam and spinal x-rays and give you a Patient Orientation. Together, we’ll come up with a plan of action which will begin when you are completely satisfied and ready to move forward.  You will then receive your first Chiropractic Adjustment.
